# Product Vision — VNOS

## Identity
**VNOS: Value Network Operating System.** An extensible, headless, API-first, metadata-driven and event-oriented operating system for **cross-enterprise value networks**. Industry-specific products are configurations and domain extensions of a shared platform.

## Business scope
Physical sourcing and provenance; import/export and customs; contracts and demand; manufacturing and recipes/BOM; lot genealogy; distributed storage; custody and beneficial ownership; quality and losses; B2B orders, allocation and delivery; retail sales evidence; multi-party accounting, receivables and settlement; insurance/risk integration; compliant future finance/tokenization where approved.

## Reference pilot
- **آرد ورامین**: wheat sourcing/import and flour operations.
- **سمیرا**: pasta manufacturing.
- **افق کوروش**: distribution/retail and store-level sales signals.
They are not the product boundary.

## Positioning
Not a fixed supply-chain software installation, not a one-industry solution, not an unconditional blockchain system, and not a universal website builder. Integrations, partners, industries, workflow and pricing models remain replaceable.

## Key distinctions
- Data source can begin manual/trust-based and evolve to API-backed, without changing domain semantics.
- A retailer's GTIN/POS sale only gives SKU-level evidence unless batch lineage is grounded in receiving/transfers/lot events.
- Data visibility, financing, external money movements and blockchain attestations represent different truths and require separate records.
- Price percentages seen in early workshops are illustrative, not policy.
